Chinooks

Very warm winds today. All the snow we had, what little there was, is rapidly melting and now the ground is muddy and it smells like spring. I don't think we ever really had winter this year and in a desert like this we didn't have snow for more than a week. THese are some old family photos of my dad and uncles playing on the snow banks in Auburn, Maine when they were kids. I remember piles of snow like this in South Portland when I was their age, but what with the Earth getting warmer or something Maine has been lucky to get a foot all season.

I'm not complaining, any step towards shorts and sundress weather is a win in my book.
