Unidentified Blistered Surfaces

This particular box was made out of reclaimed materials from the class sinks, my own reclaim, slip donated by a colleague, and plaster bits scraped off of a demo mold. These were all mixed in one bucket and cast into a piece of plastic packaging. The interior was carved out and the still plastic clay was added back on and pinched to form the sides of the box. After the bisque firing these blisters appeared and are somewhat perplexing. It is possible that they came from the lithium slip I use often, and the darker color is due to the black slip that had been mixed into the batch. Who knows? Hopefully I'll be able to figure it out after the glaze firing.

And this is what it looks like! Appears to be a random chunk of lithium glaze mixed with stoneware.
